Hi Sisters,
Craft Night is finally here! Come anytime Thursday night between 6-10pm. Various soups and bread will be served. The nursery will be available from 6-8pm. There will be cellophane and ribbon if you want to gift wrap your crafts. Please bring 50 cents per gift wrap, thanks!
We are still in need of 1 more crock pot of soup and a few desserts. Anything is fine. If you can bring something, please call Lisa Johnson (951) 990-9961. Thanks!!
Here is what you need to bring for the various crafts:
*Soap Dispenser: You don't need to bring anything.
*Photo Block Puzzle: 2-6 photos or pictures size 4x6 or 5x7, a ruler and/or exacto knife if you have one.
*Glass Magnets: Scrapbook paper and/or small photos to place between the glass and magnet, scissors if you have some.
*Kids Christmas Project Kit: Nothing
*Casserole Dish: Bring your 9x13 (or larger) glass pan
*Tile Board Art: Bring your board already painted! Boards were handed out or delivered yesterday. If you are doing the 5x7 (small) one, bring a 4x6 photo or picture. If you are doing the 13x13 (large) one, bring a 12x12 (calendar size) photo or picture. Bring a ruler and/or scissors or exacto-knife if you have one.
*Vinyl Images: Bring your own wood, tile, canvas, glass, picture frame, etc. Be sure to look at the dimensions for the one you ordered. Most of them are around 10 inches long, but the heights vary greatly!!
The dimensions are on the blog www.lasbrisaswardcraftnight.blogspot.com
*Children's Temple Block: Bring 1 sheet of scrapbook paper. You may want paper that coordinates with the child's bedroom. Your choices for paint are light blue, dark blue, pink, purple, black, white, or beige.
*Magnet Board: You don't need to bring anything. Your paint choices are black or beige. (White paint can't be used because the vinyl lettering is white). Feel free to bring your own paint and/or wood stain ("to give it the antique look") if you like.
*Countdown Blocks: Scrapbook paper according to your theme of Christmas, Halloween, etc. 3-4 sheets should be enough. If you want each side of the block to have a different pattern get 6 sheets. REMEMBER not to bring any paper that has a white background. The vinyl lettering won't show up!! Also, please bring a ruler and/or scissors if you have them. Your paint choices will be black, white, or beige. Feel free to bring your own paint and/or wood stain (to give it the "antique look") if you like.
*Nativity: You don't need to bring anything. You will be spray painting the wood outside the back door on the cement pad (between the primary and nursery rooms). It will be getting dark, so come early if you like. If you have a glue gun, you can bring it to glue the stable together.
If you have any questions, call Rebeca Holmstrom (951) 239-5364

Enrichment Craft Night
We are so excited for our
upcoming craft night!!
We hope that you will find a few things that you would like to make. This website has all 11 crafts listed in order
from least expensive ($2) to most expensive ($20).
There Are 3 Ways You Can Sign Up For A Craft:
1) On the sign-up sheets each Sunday in the foyer by the Bishop's office next to the samples.
2) In a blue binder labeled "Las Brisas Ward Craft Night"
The binder will circulate around in Sunday School, Primary,
Young Women, and Relief Society.
3) Posting a comment under the desired craft on this blog.
If you would like to order various crafts, please post a comment under each craft post. For example, if you wanted 3 soap dispensers, 2 puzzle blocks, 1 name etched for the 9x13 pans, and 2 countdown blocks, you would post 4 comments (one under each of the 4 different crafts). Please be specific in your comments, leaving us your name, quantity desired, and any other information that is requested in the craft description.
Thanks so much!
A Couple Of Guidelines That We Have Set Up Are:
1) We will not place your order until we have your money
2) Some of the crafts have an order cut-off date of Sun Sept 27th. The other crafts order cut-off date is Thurs Oct 1st. This will allow time to collect all needed supplies and/or allow time for shipping and filling orders. We can still place your order after these dates; there will just be no guarantee that it will arrive by Oct 15th!
3) Please pay your money to the "contact person" for each craft. They are listed on this blog as well as on the sign-up sheets.
Checks are preferred over cash.
Please check this blog for updates!
We will be having our traditional crock-pot soup and
bread dinner that evening and;
a nursery for children will be provided
by our young women from 6-8pm.
We will also have cellophane and ribbon that night
if you want to turn your craft into a gift!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact any member of the enrichment committee!!
